Hemliss Selly is a curator, cultural coordinator and artist manager, trained in finance and evolving in the artistic world since childhood, influenced by MASA. It develops projects dedicated to the valorisation of African art, cultural transmission and structuring the sector.
She has coordinated several large-scale exhibitions in Abidjan (Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire), led artistic collaborations and led an environmental project with YEE NGO, transforming plastic waste into works. She is the artistic direction of The Culture Shock at MUCAT (more than 12,000 visitors) and coordinated the opening of the Africa Foto Fair festival.
As a curator, she directed an international edition of Culture Shock, wrote the artistic project of the Ivorian stand at the Francophonie and curated the solo exhibition of an Ivorian artist in OFF of the Dakar Biennale, while accompanying his development in Senegal.
It is also involved in cultural cooperation by coordinating agreements between the Tano Kora Foundation and the Embassy of Côte d’Ivoire in Senegal, as well as partnerships with UCAD and PSG Academy Senegal. She piloted the donation of works to the Maison des Esclaves de Gorée (UNESCO), strengthening Ivoro-Senegalese cultural ties.
She supervises projects such as Le Nouveau Monde, coordinates events such as the after-party of the CEO African Forum.
She is General Coordinator and Auditor of the Tano Kora Foundation.
She works to make African art a lever of international influence and influence.
